Its unique blend of history, tranquility, and natural splendor creates an unforgettable experience, a celebration of love in a truly magical place.

What’s the meaning of Saiuen

The word "Saiuen" is formed of three kanji:

  • 載– Sai– to carry, to hold

  • 羽 – U / Yu – feather

  •  園– En – garden

Saiuen's name comes from a quote from the philosopher Zhuangzi: "Happiness is as light as the feather , but only a few know how to hold it. Misfortunes are heavier than the earth, but only a few know how to let it go."

Thus, Saiuen - "The Garden of Holding the Feather", serves as a gentle reminder to cherish the lightest moments of joy, and to find contentment in the simple happiness that surround us.

And, in a beautiful touch of personal significance, "Yu/feather" is also the name of the owner's wife, making the garden a symbol of his love and family.
